Hello and welcome to the first newsletter from your community owned Inn at Kingsbarns.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the last few months, whilst Mark and the team have been getting settled into a new routine. A lot of good things have been going on! We have appointed a fantastic team, have amazing food, a brand-new seating area outside and we have additional seating in the bar area.
The good news is we’re busy, and feedback regarding the bar, accommodation, and food, had been positive! The food menu is extremely popular and we’re in the process of preparing a ‘light lunch’ menu, which is coming soon... we will provide more details shortly.
Share Offer ends 31 August - need to be quick*
We’ve received several new share applications from the community in response to the recent call out for more residents to buy shares, which will ‘unlock’ the non-resident funds we have waiting in the wings. However, we still need more. So, if you’ve been thinking about buying shares, please do. The minimum amount is £25. Applications can be found at The Inn or call 07963 100480 for an application to be hand delivered to you.
The first meeting of shareholders will be held in the Memorial Hall at 11am on Saturday 14th September 2024.
*The Share Offer will reopen following the AGM late October 2024 (date to be confirmed).
New community events at the Inn start Friday 6th September
Bingo - Friday mornings: 6th and 20th September 10.30am-11.30am, £2 per person, includes scones and tea or coffee.
Quiz Nights - Monday nights: 9th and 23rd September 7-9pm, £5 per person, includes beef or veggie Stovies
Knit & Natter - Monday mornings: 16th and 30th September
10.30am-noon. Please bring your own knitting or other craft or use cotton yarn and hooks to make a dishcloth! £2 per person, includes scones and tea or coffee.
