Surrounded by Fife's finest countryside and coast and situated just 10 mins from St Andrews by car, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
The name Kingsbarns was derived from the Kings of Scotland storing the grain from the very productive local ambient climate before being transported to Dunfermline and Falkland Palaces from the 11th to the 16th Century, whereafter the Monarchy moved to glorious Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital City.
Situated in the heart of ‘golf country’ this area, called the East Neuk of Fife, has reputedly the most sunshine hours than any other part of Scotland. The Inn is located in the Conservation Village of Kingsbarns, close to the bus stop and 10 mins walk to the World renowned Kingsbarns Golf Club. We are to be found on the Main route A917 from St. Andrews to the fishing Villages of Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St. Monans and Elie, where you can still watch the fish being landed on a daily basis.
Cyclists, Walkers and Dog Owners
We are a dog friendly Inn where well behaved dogs are welcome to stay but only in our Family Bedrooms with two dogs maximum per room. We ask that owners of Large Dogs call us to make sure they are suitable for The Inn and our Bedrooms. Dog treats, poop bags and water are readily available. Dogs must not be left in the Room alone unless in a crate. Dogs also must be kept on a lead at all times in our Public Areas. There are tremendous walks ways for your Dogs in wooded areas and the beach is only 15min walk away.
For Walkers, Cyclists and passing Dogs we have installed a free drinking water tap at the Front of the Hotel and a Bicycle Rack
